We are recruiting for a Unit Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services in a healthcare setting.

This role involves conducting assessments, facilitating group sessions, offering individual psychotherapy, and working with diverse patient populations, including those with forensic backgrounds.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychological assessments and therapy services

• Conduct psycho-educational and process groups

• Perform individual psychotherapy sessions

• Execute risk assessments, particularly violence risk assessments

• Work with patients from various forensic backgrounds

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on treatment plans

• Manage and treat complex cases, including personality disorders and serious mental illnesses

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid psychology license in California

• Doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited institution

• Minimum one year of post-license experience

• Eligibility for Medicare reimbursement

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about various forensic commitment types

• Experience with risk assessments and psychological testing

• Strong skills in group facilitation and individual therapy

• Expertise in treating personality disorders and serious mental illnesses

• Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, and comprehension)
